Sat in the sun in the front garden yesterday. The previous night Ann had a dinner party. Mfriends I had met previously. During that, two couch surfers from Johannesburg arrived. They hosted Anne and Mel in their home. Interesting people. Would like to relocate but can't. Must be awful to live in fear.
Lastnight we went to dinner at Michael and Viera's to celebrate the 14th birthday of their eldest of three daughters. We collected Barbara fron her retirement village which is a huge complex. Will see the inside this afternoon when I visit. Ginny and Jon are driving down fron Connecticut, taking Barbara and I to dinner, then tomorrow to the southern most tip of New Jersey which is like an english village apparently. Barbara said we can paddle in the water. News for her. Actually the weather is beautiful, but still only 14 during the day.
Trees are starting to bloom and new leaves shooting. This is a beautiful city. So many trees and houses made from local stone. You note in the photo of Anne and Mel's home.

beautiful.
