ANDERNACH

The highlight of the cruise for me was Lastnight at Burg Namedy, a restored Gothic Castle dating to the  14th century.  See my previous blog.  We were greeted with champagne and canapés, then wandered through beautifully furnished rooms. Dinner was served in a huge elegant room overlooking green gardens.  Of course the weather was dull!!!  Food was delicious. The best wine flowed.  

The highlight was listening to Susanna Kadzhoyan play two,Liszt pieces.  Hungarian Thapsody No 13 and Tarantella.  She played with such feeling.  Her left hand movement was amazing.
