We are on the train to Bruges via Antwerp where we change trains. Got a taxi to the station for only 5.60 euros, then had to manoeuvre cases over cobble stones to the entrance. Bought our ticket for 53 euros each then rushed to the interstate platform only to find the train was half hour late. We have just left the international airport. Travelling at a slowish speed through farming land, shaded by fog or smog. A few wind farms are operating. Delft , a good days March from Amsterdam is the next stop. A family of Chinese people are jabbering loudly. Time to put on my Bose head set!!!! We arrived in Antwerp too late for our connection. After paying to use the loo, we found an eatery, then finally platform 1 where train departed at 2.10. We are experiencing a very slow ride. Sky is still grey. Our seat is near the WC which Is broken. It is a laugh to see people trying to push buttons while we say it is not working. Some understand!!! A group of young Jewish boys sit nearby. All have shaven heads, except for a very long hair piece falling in curls from either side of their heads above their ears. All are wearing black caps. The station at Antwerp reminded me of the one at Kyoto, only many years older.
